STANDARD TESTS OF INSULATING JOINT

Insulating Capability Test-1

Before the hydrostatic test, each insulating joints is tested to prove the electrical resistance and dielectric strength according to required parameters.

Hydrostatic Test

Each insulating joint is hydrostatically tested at minimum 150% of its design pressure.

Insulating Capability Test-2

After hydrostatic test, each insulating joint is tested again to prove the electrical resistance and dielectric strength are over required parameters.

PERFORMANCE TEST

Hydro-Bend Test

A bending test at rated pressure is carried out on each prototype
insulating joint.

There shall be no permanent deformation and no signs of any leakage during the test period.

The electric and dielectric tests are repeated and the results before and after shall be acceptable.
